Black Ops 2
by JEE
Well the official reveal trailer has now been released and I’ve got to say, I’m hugely unexcited for this game. I enjoyed the first Black Ops, it had a pretty shitty single player campaign, Treyarch has never done particularly well with the campaign in CoD but they do know how to make a good Multiplayer, and obviously have the Zombies feather in their cap.
Here’s the trailer anyway, see what you think:
It seems that they are taking CoD to a new, rather unexpected level. The events take place a long time in the future from the first game, the world has become dependent on an unmanned military and according to the trailer, they somehow get hacked and the enemy takes control and proceeds to ass-rape us with our own tech.
So in comes the guys who should never have been replaced in the first place to clean up the mess.
This storyline really doesn’t inspire much confidence and the trailer doesn’t look particularly impressive. A mix up of various UAV aircraft and vehicles, a few token explosions and then a few guys trading shots towards the end. My only glimmer of hope is that Treyarch wont abandon the Zombies side of the game. I really dont see that happening because Treyarch really stumbled onto a good thing with Zombies. I got bored of the Multiplayer after a while and the last 2 map packs I bought purely for the Zombies. It will be interesting to a put a futuristic twist on the Zombies game, more advanced weapons and maybe some remote controlled tech to unleash a little mayhem with.
Either way i can safely say that i wont be picking this game up on release, I’ll rent it and see if its worth it first.

Online Pass Games No Longer Safe As EA Shuts Down More Servers
written by BiG DaH
Here we go again…
While most of us are still a bit annoyed at the last round of server killing that took place just months ago, EA has taken to it’s data centers once again and is shutting down yet another bunch of servers.
However, this time it’s a little different.. › Continue reading

UK Signs ACTA
Well fellow gamers out there in Europe, today is a sad day as a number of high profile European countries have taken a step in the wrong direction and have signed an act that very closely resembles the recently defeated SOPA / PIPA bills in the United States that were tossed due to action taken by the American public.
UK Signs ACTA as activists urge resistance
If you don’t know anything about SOPA / ACTA / PIPA then perhaps it’s time to put the games down for a second and pay attention to the news because these laws are designed in such a way that could easily make many of the things us gamers enjoy doing such as making movies, creating walkthroughs, or just capturing funny videos using games, illegal.
It’s not that they’re specifically targeting the general population of the world or gamers specifically, but I personally feel that the net of laws being laid down at this point in human existence is beyond overkill. When I think about all the new laws being put in place, I can’t help but think these are all just “backup laws” for the government to use to nail someone to the wall at any given time.
Once the government has enough laws to arrest you for simply standing in the same place, it’s over, but this is just another step in that direction.
P.S. The government just took down MegaUpload for the same reasons SOPA / ACTA / PIPA were supposedly being put in place for. So if they were able to do it without SOPA / ACTA / PIPA, why do we need SOPA / ACTA / PIPA?
Simple answer: We don’t.
I definitely hope the European population can pull off what Americans did and stop this where it stands, because if they don’t, the internet is about to change dramatically for everyone.

ANTI-SOPA / PIPA BLACK OUT ON GAMERKAGE.COM
Dear Everybody,
This letter is to inform all of you that GamerKage.com (including BiG DaH’s KaGE and GamerKage Forums) will be participating in a 24 hour blackout on January 18th 2012 in protest of the upcoming legislations known as SOPA and PIPA.
Both of these potential “anti-copyright infringement” bills are extreme and unyielding in their bastardization of the internet and your rights and freedoms as a human being. They will suppress voices, destroy creativity, and turn you and your neighbors into criminals without you even realizing it.
These bills are designed to give corporations and individuals the ability to shut down websites they feel could be potentially infringing on copyrights and also give immunity to internet service providers who shut down those websites, leaving you and other potential non-intentional copyright infringers out on your ass.
Wikipedia, Google, and hundreds of major websites have come out against these bills with millions of individuals speaking out as well by both protest and petition.
For more information, please visit www.google.com and type in “SOPA”, then when you’re done getting sick to your stomach at the thought of being imprisoned or fined for posting videos of something cool you did while gaming, go ahead and call your state representative and let them know how hurtful and dangerous bills like these are to the enjoyment of our lives and freedoms of expression and creativity.
Here are some more links to find out information on these bills:

The actual bill itself:
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c112:H.R.3261:
The bottom line here is, if you want to be able to enjoy going to gaming websites and being able to collaborate and share your fun with friends and the world using any kind of media online, then you cannot ignore this or any other bill that tries to stifle us all.
The internet must remain free for all and I encourage all fellow web admins and bloggers to join us in speaking out against this corrupted legislation by blacking out on January 18th, 2012.
Thanks for reading this and for any action you will take on your own to make sure this does not become law.
Battlefield 3 – The Dangers of Hype

Based on the headline alone, I’m pretty sure that most people will imagine this is an article intended on bashing Battlefield 3 a bit, but before writing anything further, I do want to say right off the bat that Battlefield 3 is an amazing game. In my personal opinion, there is not a single first person shooter on the market right now that can compare to the intensity and all-encompassing gameplay that BF3 provides.
However, given all the hype surrounding it’s release and having also previously been a Battlefield 2 player, I can’t help but point out that Battlefield 3’s main advantage over Battlefield 2 is simple….. it’s all in the › Continue reading

OnLive Releases App for Tablets and Smartphones
OnLive, the online “cloud” based gaming platform has announced the release of an app for the Android smart phone and tablet market to allow for playing top level games.
This is actually a pretty significant event since up until now we’ve pretty much been bound to sub-par renditions of the games that we do enjoy like Need for Speed or any other “trimmed down” version of a game we otherwise love on console. › Continue reading
Skyrim – My World Turned Upside Down

Battlefield 3 – Review – Let The Love Affair Begin
It’s… finally… here!!
Battlefield 3 has dropped a bomb on us all and my heart is still pounding away after experiencing what I consider to be one of the best FPS single player campaigns I’ve played. From the sounds, to the sights, to the borderline airsickness I felt after taking a ride in a jet during the campaign › Continue reading
Ace Combat: Assault Horizons – Riding on Rails
Playing the demo of Ace Combat: Assault Horizons was definitely fun and it had a fast paced and fairly intense feel to it so I thought I’d go and pick it up. Having only played through the first hour or two, I’m not exactly an expert on all things Ace Combat, but I thought I’d share my thoughts… › Continue reading
Battlefield 3 Beta Confirms Consoles Suck
Well that’s it, confirmed, done deal, over with, finite, and sayonara for console versions of Battlefield 3’s beta. Blasting onto the scene with ultra low res graphics, a mediocre map, and no f%$#’ing vehicles.
WHAT THE %$#*!
The whole damn reason why Battlefield 3 is such a great game has everything to do with what isn’t in the beta and nothing to do with what is. Playing the beta on XBox 360 felt like playing an unfinished version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and I really hope this is limited to the console version because I’ve been expecting so much more from a game that captured my heart almost 7 years ago. › Continue reading
Battlefield 3 – PC Requirements
So here we are, at the very edge of one of the most anticipated game releases of all time, Battlefield 3, and many gamers have been wondering what will be expected of them and their PC gaming rigs in order to enjoy the awesomeness that is Battlefield 3.
Well, EA has finally released the requirements for playing Battlefield 3 on PC, and it would appear to me that the minimum specs pretty much include any new PC that is out on the market today. I mean, a dual-core CPU is pretty much any processor that’s out right now, 2GB of memory would be just about the minimum you would expect to find in any PC, and DirectX 10/11 seems to be the indicator that it all is going to just come down to your video card. › Continue reading
Dead Island – XP Boosting and Weapons Duplication (“Duping”)
So you got your hands on the latest in video game zombificationery and you have no time to sit around and do silly things like actually playing the game to get your level up, so what’s a gamer to do now?
Well, clearly you’re here because you knew what to do, go find out how someone else is doing it!
Luckily for you, we have videos of two “glitches” in Dead Island, the first one shows how to use Oleander to get yourself leveled up pretty quickly, and the second one is a very simple weapons duping glitch which will allow you to “dupe” the weapon you have selected each time you do it. You basically throw it and drop it at the same time, it tricks the game into letting you do both which is how the extra weapon shows up.
This is also a fast way to make cash if you dupe an expensive weapon and then just sell the extras, but anyway, on to the videos…

Call of Duty – Zombies Moon Easter Egg Steps
written by JEE
Just in case some of you guys want to get the Easter Egg done without trying to figure it all out, here are the steps.
Obvisouly if you DO want to figure it out by yourself then stop reading now.
This Easter Egg is pretty simple to be fair, the difficulty comes in needing certain things from the box or having to go a few extra rounds before you can do the next step which is usually when shit goes wrong and people start dying. › Continue reading
